Consulting Business Analyst

As a Consulting Business Analyst, you’ll develop expertise in business strategy, financial performance, and executive compensation across a broad range of industries. Working alongside experienced consultants, you’ll analyze data, develop insights, contribute to client recommendations, and help create executive-level presentations that influence business decisions for several of the world’s most recognizable brands

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Research and analyze financial, business, and compensation data
  • Understand clients’ business and talent strategies as well as the economic drivers behind their organizations
  • Identify and evaluate executive and board compensation peer groups
  • Develop competitive compensation benchmarks
  • Assess compensation program design against market practices
  • Analyze the relationship between company performance, incentive design, and shareholder value
  • Evaluate performance metrics and goal-setting practices
  • Help develop client recommendations and presentation materials

In addition to client focused work, you’ll have an opportunity to contribute to Farient’s global research initiatives, thought leadership, as well as working with our data analytics team to help create methodologies, templates, and models that support our consulting practice.

What Success Looks Like

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, pivot tables, advanced formulas, data modeling and proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights
  • Understanding of financial statements, corporate performance metrics, and valuation concepts
  • Experience with statistical analysis, financial modeling, or business intelligence tools is a plus

Research & Problem Solving

  • Ability to conduct both qualitative and quantitative research
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, compelling client presentations
  • Interest in developing new analytical tools, methodologies, and best practices

Communication

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation and storytelling abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and senior client stakeholders

Project Management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Master’s degree or professional certifications (such as CFA Level I) are a plus
  • Internship or professional experience in consulting, financial analysis, corporate strategy, or a related field is preferred

Compensation

The position offers a base salary of $70,000–$80,000 per year, plus a one-time signing bonus and an annual performance-based bonus that is competitive with those offered by leading consulting firms. Please note that the company does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
