December 2021: Powering Business Away From Climate Change

Powering Business Away From Climate Change
Dear Friend,
For the past several years, Farient and our partners in the Global Governance and Executive Compensation Group (GECN), where Farient is a founding partner, have published our Global Trends in Corporate Governance series. These annual studies explore executive compensation, board composition and structure, shareholder rights, with deep dives into global investor concerns and stakeholder incentives across five continents. To that end, we continue to research and advise our clients on critical issues including diversity, equity and inclusion, stakeholder incentives, and climate change.
In fact, I recently participated in a Climate Risk Panel for the National Association of Corporate Directors’ (NACD) with Britt Ide, an ESG and energy expert who serves as a director for NorthWestern Energy, ATLIS Motor Vehicles, and CleanTech Acquisition Corp. We found the discussion timely and are pleased to share, “Powering Business Away from Climate Change,” in which we discuss the role of the board in providing oversight and accountability in many areas of ESG with a special focus on climate and environment.
I hope you enjoy our discussion and wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season.
