Farient Briefings: Ethics, Compliance, and the Role of Compensation
September 19, 2023
Ethics, Compliance, and the Role of Compensation
Promote adherence or penalize for violations? More companies are linking Ethics & Compliance (E&C) measures to incentive compensation plans. The linkage helps solidify the importance of E&C policies to the market and especially employees, and in some cases, companies are choosing to use E&C shortfalls to reduce compensation as a punitive measure. These governance-type metrics often get the least attention relative to environmental or social measures, but they can be just as effective in promoting sustainable value creation.
The Gift We Give Ourselves: Getting Off the Grid
Summer. Downtime. Exploration. However you spent your summer, we thought we would share how one of us vacationed. Whatever comes to mind for you, our marketing and business development leader worked hard to stay off the grid. From the melting snows of Kilimanjaro with Farient’s CEO last year to a trek across Peru’s Salkantay Pass and Sacred Valley, what could make this year as memorable? A walking safari through southeast Kenya’s Tsavo National Park, the largest national park in Kenya: 10 miles a day among elephants, lions, hippos, and so much more.
A Salute to Our Founder
Congratulations to Robin A. Ferracone, the founder and CEO of Farient Advisors, who was named on September 14 to the 2023 NACD Directorship 100.
Each year, the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD)
