Life Annuity Specialist – Some CEOs at Mutual, Private Insurers Had Big Pay Bumps Last Year
For some chief executives of large life insurers, whose pay packages are normally hidden from view, it turns out 2020 wasn’t such a bad year.
There was also “heightened sensitivity” among compensation committees to how the pandemic affected a CEO’s ability to hit forecast goals, according to R.J. Bannister, chief operating officer at Farient Advisors.
“They’ve allowed that discretion where in prior years they may not have been as forgiving,” he said.
